- Retrains muscles and skin to stay firm and toned
What is Microcurrent
Micro-current treatments have been utilized in the medical field since the 1970’s. The treatment is distinguished by its use of barely perceptible currents known as micro-amperes. These small currents mimic the bio-electric currents produced by the body. As we age, muscles and skin begin to sag due to atrophy and infrequent use. On the other end of the spectrum, muscles that we use often, such as those that create a furrow in the brow, get stuck in a fixed position and cause wrinkles. Microcurrent treatments are used to rejuvenate and lift skin to soften wrinkles by toning muscles and skin, which returns them to their original form.
How is it used
Microcurrent has made a name for itself in the cosmetic and anti-aging field. It visibly lifts and firms sagging skin and it softens and smoothes wrinkles. Results can be seen in as little as one treatment. Many know it as the “non-surgical” facelift because the treatments are so effective and procedure is non invasive. Microcurrent therapy has been used to treat aging skin as well as skin that has been damaged by acne, stretch marks, cellulite, sunburn, and scarring.
